Jackson Canellis, a junior at Carl Sandburg High School and cross country and track runner, created his own Crosstown Classic Run to benefit BEDS Plus. On Saturday, August 10, Jackson and 7 teammates ran 12 miles from Wrigley to Guaranteed Rate field with the goal to raise funds and awareness for our mission. Each donor voted for which jersey he would wear during the run – Cubs or Sox. He raised $9,110 and - thanks to a last minute generous donation - proudly sported his favorite Sox jersey for the run! Huge thank you to Jackson, his teammates, his family and all the donors who made this event fun and successful!
