Dr. Jennifer Swoyer of AMITA Health talks about reducing barriers to health care. The Summit Service Center will allow medically fragile persons experiencing homelessness to get the care they need.
"Health care in this country, for as available as it is, is fraught with barriers. Transportation can be a barrier. Insurance is a barrier. Cost of medicine is a barrier," Swoyer said. "So we're trying to reduce some of those barriers by going to locations where individuals might have a harder time overcoming some of those barriers."
