Javon Harris leads our Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) service line, including our Ogden Avenue Supportive Housing and scattered site programs. She oversees BEDS’ participation in Suburban Cook County’s larger Coordinated Entry system, which ensures that area agencies reach people experiencing homelessness as quickly, effectively, and compassionately as possible. On a day-to-day basis, she provides case management services to PSH residents and coordinates the efforts of other PSH case managers and our recently-added Community Health Worker.
Previously, Javon served as a Program Liaison at the Midwest Shelter for Homeless Veterans. She holds a Certification in Human Services from the College of DuPage, including certifications as a Mental Health First Aide and Domestic Violence counselor. She recently graduated from the Community Memorial Foundation’s Ladder to Leadership program, which helps emerging leaders realize their potential.
