Our Stabilization Services provide direct financial assistance, professional case management, and creative solutions to people at imminent risk of homelessness. Programs include:
Homeless Prevention
Our Homelessness Prevention program provides housing insecure clients with direct financial assistance for past due rent and security deposits on new affordable housing.
Diversion
Our Diversion program offers creative solutions and limited, one-time financial assistance to keep households in crisis out of shelters.
Short-Term Stabilization
Our Short-Term Stabilization program connects vulnerable clients with professional case managers who help them sustain housing.
Customized Case Management & Services
All Stabilization clients partner with case managers to set individual goals and regain stability and independence. Clients regularly meet with case managers and gain access to services including:
Gracie and Joe were a day away from eviction when BEDS delivered a check to their landlord for two months’ late rent. They experienced hardships that impacted their income and housing stability. “A combination of things put us at risk,” shared Gracie.
In addition to past due rent, we provided financial assistance for the couple’s utility bills and transportation to medical visits.
When BEDS dropped off the check that stopped the eviction and all the costs, I was in tears,” said Grace.
