
Rapid Rehousing targets individuals and families who are homeless for the first time and helps them secure housing quickly and solve the problems that caused their homelessness through supportive case management. BEDS identifies Rapid Rehousing clients through its Emergency Services and takes referrals from partner agencies.
Through a mix of public and private funds, BEDS Plus provides eligible clients with:

financial assistance for security deposits and rent for up to $3,000 per household every 36 months

housing search, placement and move-in assistance

furnishings and apartment set-up equipment and supplies

service connection with health, behavior health and life skills training, such as employment

assistance with employment search and educational opportunities

regular case management support for six months to help clients meet their physical and behavioral health and life goals

financial coaching and housing plan transition

Rapid Rehousing Eligibility

<li>documented history of housing instability or homelessness as defined by HUD</li>
<li>documented household incomes between 30% and 50% of area median income</li>
<li>confirmed source of income sufficient to pay the rent following rental assistance</li>
<li>commitment to a plan for self-sufficiency within program term</li>
