Carl Wolf joined the BEDS Plus team as their Chief Advancement Officer in 2026 after serving as Executive Director at Respond Now for 20 years. As Chief Advancement Officer, Carl will act as a point of contact with partner and government agencies, be responsible for building BEDS Plus’ portfolio in the South Suburbs, manage the submission of grants, as well as working with and providing leadership to the BEDS Plus Development team.
During Carl’s tenure at Respond Now, the operating budget expanded from $600,000 to $5 million, growing from a staff of 4 FTE to 25 FTE. This growth allowed the organization to expand its services into Supportive Housing, SNAP Outreach, Housing Counseling, Shelter Services, as well as an expansion of their Homelessness Prevention and Food Pantry services. Carl also spearheaded a $2.5 million Capital Campaign at Respond Now, in support of a facility renovation.
Carl holds a Masters of Social Work from Indiana University and is bilingual in English/Spanish. He is married with two children and enjoys performing in Community Theater, watching/listening to/attending baseball games, and watching weird movies.
