Early birds needed!
Food Rescue Pick-Up Volunteers Needed ASAP!
BEDS Plus has an exciting opportunity to add two additional food rescue pick-ups—helping us provide fresh, rescued food to the 100+ people staying in our shelters. ❤️
We’re looking for a few early birds who don’t mind starting their Sunday with a mission!
It’s a small time commitment that makes a BIG difference in the lives of our neighbors experiencing homelessness. And there’s something pretty wonderful about starting your Sunday knowing you helped put good food on someone’s table. 💙
🚗 What you’ll do:
• Pick up rescued food on Sunday mornings between 7–9 AM
• Pick up at Whole Foods in Hinsdale and Trader Joe’s in Downers Grove
• Deliver the food to our La Grange location
🙋♀️ What we need:
2–4 volunteers willing to take turns—either one Sunday a month or every other Sunday.
Lend a hand. Help a neighbor.
We rely on volunteers every day to help with important tasks such as making and serving meals, sorting and packing food donations, answering our 24 hour phone line and working our front desks & more. If you are interested in learning more and becoming a BEDS Plus volunteer, please sign up to attend a virtual volunteer orientation. Have questions? email Beth Kulpinski, Volunteer Manager.
Can you help meet our highest volunteer needs right now?
Weekly or biweekly commitment is preferred. Training and shadowing is included.
If you are interested in any of these opportunities, email Beth Kulpinski, Volunteer Manager.
