Accepting either Bachelor or Master’s level students.
Summer internships are available to rising college juniors and above. Internships are designed to provide individuals with direct experience in nonprofit and the housing sector. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis until Friday May 1, 2026. Students must commit to a minimum of 10 weeks at 25 hours per week, which may include evenings and weekend hours. Upon successful completion of the program, interns will receive a stipend of $1200 in 2 payments for their service.
Internship Job Descriptions
Supportive Housing: Be the first line of contact for our agency by working the BEDS Plus crisis hotline and front door greeter. It is a good opportunity to practice active listening skills and crisis response, get an overview of all the housing resources our agency provides. It’s a wonderful opportunity to meet residents at our permanent housing center.
Work Location: La Grange, IL. Flexible schedule, with nights and weekend availability.
Transitional Housing: Gain valuable social service experience working with people who have been homeless and are currently receiving intensive case management and are living in one of our medium-term residences.
Work Location: Various. Flexible schedule Monday to Friday 9am-5pm
